Our brake fluid reservior is also on the right hand side (as from drivers seat)

The cooler is only taking the place of the big black box that connects to the throttle body - every H6 has this box in this position on Legacy/Liberty

I have supplied our unintercooled kits around the world already and there has been no interference or problems whether car is left or right hand drive. The cooler is still only displacing standard Subaru parts

Post up clear engine bay images of your Subaru H6 if you believe it is significantly different in some manner or other than I have described

check this one Tim

am concerned about the u turn from throttle body to the ic. and you can see the air conditionar pipe too.

if that will cause any restrictions i suggest the ic to be fitted in direct line just before throttle body then adjust the pipe to the supercharger

Thanks for the image, I will save that one

The good news is the silicon 180 bend is currently at full supplied length, I can shorten the straight sections by quite a bit to make that part of the system more compact which seem to eliminate the clearance issue you may have had with it in the current guise. I will basically run the 180 through the band saw and shorten it for all the IC kits

I cant put it in line, it simply will not fit at all, the cooler is deeper than it is wide by a little bit

Do you have another picture for us of where your shiney pipe goes to at the airfilter end? Would like to see what it all looks like there

take a look over here
http://opposedforces.com/parts/legacy/e ... tration_1/

this how our LHD Air Conditioner pipes runs under the air box while if you take a look over here
http://opposedforces.com/parts/legacy/e ... tration_3/

which shows that the same Air Conditioner pipes went straight to the Evaporator assembly through the firewall

I'll try to take some photos in the afternoon to get it clear and I'll try to take some measurements

Black Dragon

At your request I have reviewed the hoses for heater and for airconditioning, they are far below the intercooler. The hose connection points at the firewall/bulkhead are identical on both LHD and RHD models

All very good

I think there wil be trouble with the mounting points, have a look at the your picture 3 posts earlier. We will only have the chance (easy and cheap) to mount the cooler in front of the throttle valve.
Maybe a cooler type like this Image could help. He could be mounted in front of the throttle valve, but no idea of the flow of this kind of cooler, straight way for the air will be the best choice - like Tim has.

This is probably the design I will make for the LHD cars, like your sketch

There will not be any photos of this prior to shipping, we will measure it and design it on my car but it can never fit my car not even for testing. Its no problem to get it correct

Ing

You have no idea how many cooler types I have tried, and trying to get something that still leaves room for the air flow meter has been impossible. The Subaru Impreza with its 4cyl will accept all kinds of coolers behind the throttle body, but the bigger Legacy/Liberty with bigger engine has a LOT less space there, the Plazmaman 550 has been the only item to be useful so far.

Tim,
I never had doubts about your professionalism ;) . Looking at your pictures, I was realy surprised how much place there is for the cooler, i never had thought that the cooler will have place in front of the throttle body. I know you will find the perfect solution.

If I could choose without having space constraints I would choose an intercooler just like the picture you have posted up, it is so much better for the supercharger than any other type but ......... I cant fit it on these cars

thank you

just another simple question
will there be any boost lost through the ic ?
is it considered?

MH3.0R wrote:Went in to STI@Docklands today at midday, in about 5 seconds flat (with a modified stethoscope) they identified it as one of the original idlers and said best to replace both. The surprise to me was that they did it the same afternoon and tonight driving home, all blissfully quiet! No issues with any of the SC kit supplied items.

Well, a couple of days later, the squeak returned. Took it back to STI and they said the belt alignment was not true and that the Power Steering pump end play (about 1mm) was seriously in need of repair. Scared me sh..less! Anyway, took the car to HPF and asked them to check the belt alignment and with a straight edge across most of the pulleys, at most there was about 0.5mm. They said that would not cause the belt squeak. HPF asked what belt I was running and indicated it was a Bando belt imported from USA. Immediately, the mechanic said that was most likely the cause of the squeak as several belts out of the USA (but manufactured in Mexico) were having issues.

So, called Repco this morning, order a Gates Micro V 6PK2285 belt, picked it up on the way home from work and fitted it in the garage this evening. So far so good. Did a lap of the estate and no belt squeak at the moment. I will wait a week before I claim the new belt has fixed it. Thanks for the support from Tim and 3rspecb during my period of frustration, and to HPF who gave me some quick instructions on how to change the belt, and to Tim's installation drawing for showing me how to put it back on properly the 2nd time (1st time, I had about 15cm of slack, doh!)
