Hey guys,

Been lurking around here for a while but after a recent upgrade I fear I may have caught the bug :D

'08 Lib GT-B Auto that was my company car from new until I left the company and took it with me (how could you not), it's done < 40k.

Have just had HP-F do a stage 2 performance upgrade with a TBE (X-Force), K & N Panel Filter with CAI and tune. Went from ~ 126kW atw to 162 but the down low torque gains tell the real story, very happy with the enhancement.

Next in line is sway bars, seen them mentioned as a great bang for buck upgrade but when I searched the forums I didn't find much info I can use. I need specifics on what to buy, where to buy and where to have them fitted, I'm guessing Pedders is not the way to go? I am a complete mechanical noob so any assistance would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Sometimes you just need to ignore the banter and niggles from other forum users.. You'll never get away from it regardless of where you go.

Welcome Dan. :D

On every forum you'll ever visit there are always a handful of people who put their opinions across with less tact than one would consider acceptable. You'll never escape this no matter where you go.

A tough skin is the solution to this problem.

Now for some helpful information......

welcome dan!

as for chaotic2050, i wouldnt worry too much. people have their opinions and its up to you whether you take it the right or wrong way :D
this is a great online community we have here and you have come to the right place!

as far as sway bars, the general population on here, they seem to recommend cusco over whiteline. but thats not to say whiteline are a bad product, just one is better than the other (quality, ride, handling). in the end, it all comes down to money.

I dont personally see how they can differ, both being made out of the same material and doing exactly the same thing.

Ones preferred as more "JDM" thats all unless you prefer blue?

The general consesus here is due to the fact that a lot of people are sheep.

One is not better than the other, definitely not worth the extra cost better.

blue is my nickname afterall...
and your right mark, it probably is because they all want a little JDM

whiteline are cheaper too

I changed to cusco swaybars because I like the blue and wanted things a certain way and not running 2 different brands of swaybar at rear and front. Can confirm the difference is not perceivable as I have had both whiteline and cusco rear swaybars on.

Based on this thread Cusco are cold rolled. If that is the case, then yes the Cusco would have a different spring rate to the Whiteline. Therefore they would have different handling characteristics. Would you notice it? That's debatable.
