Another Queenslander!

Hello there. Thought I'd quickly introduce myself.
Richard Maze- I live in Birkdale Bayside Brisbane and I drive an 05 silver GT wagon manual.
This is the fourth subi I have owned, and they just kept getting better. My very first car was a biege '84 DL wagon. then a green '85l wagon. much later on I got an old '94 wrx hatch. And last year I bought this gt. If any WRX driver got into a gt, they'd stop being so cocky about their tin boxes. Having owned both...
Anyway, I stumbled accross this site this morning having trolled the net on and off for the last year looking for 'my community' I'm so glad this is here.
I hope to personally get in touch with all the guys and girls here that are in Brisbane, I hope that an healthy exchange of assistance and information will follow.
I have not modified my wagon as yet, with the exception of adding a 12' slot port sub to assist the mac in belting out tunes. BTW- this is such an easy and inxpensive mod if you own a wagoon and have not done so. Happy to help if needed...
That'l do for now. I will post questions in the more technical areas soon and look forward to hearing from you guys. All the best,

Black GT- you have an ecutek done, how has that gone for you?
resonate- is the jan cruze still being organised? and who would you talk to in Brisbane with regard to actually knowing our cars when modifieng them?

but welcome mate, good to see another qlder in here.. we are slowly starting to form a decent composition of gen 4's in the great south east... maybe soon some more n/a's ha ha..

Out of all the mods that has been the one that I have noticed the most. Did provide a bit extra go and better fuel efficiency (when your not driving it really hard :lol:

). I think an ECU upgrade is definately worth it but up to you with choosing a good tuner and tuning technology eg ECUTEK

Thanks again fro the welcome... Black gt- you obviously went with the ecutek after research. I am thinking that this is the least intrusive, but does it get the best result, and keep things safe.
I assume that it is the choice of tuner that really affects this the most from product to product, but I have not really seen anyone that has been negative about the ecutek. We just don't have MRT up here. I know some guys are saying that they are dear, but from an online presence veiwpoint, they have the most information, and seem to have done a very large amount of research. Any thoughts any one?

By the way- I just took on a bloke even older than me today in an auto 2004 XT foz. I couldn't get the car length back that I loose to auto's with my desire not to fry my clutch. Is this normal? Is the Foz particularly fit (he assured my it was not modded) or do I need a retune something horrid? I thought my05 man would be distinctly quicker...
I shall retire hurt and strategise a path to come out stronger... ;-)
