Don’t waste your money and time with turbo inlet pipe unless the OEM one is wearing....... you’re better off getting an air/oil separator or catch can.

A few of the tuners down in melb say inlet pipe has a pretty big benefit. one even said close to 10atw. is that not the case?

That's like saying the CAI gives you +10kw

Back to getting hung on numbers... A pair of fluffy dice I hear is worth 5kw. :D

The basics are still the same clean air in and exhaust out as quick as possible.

Everything mentioned has an impact.

If used with are CAI not just are standalone inlet pipe change still running the standard air box you would expect some gains.

With just the inlet pipe change I seriously doubt are kw gain can be made, I know of are couple of cars which have been tuned with the OEM inlet pipe still running OEM air box with HKS panel filter and achieved around the 160-170 kw, no different to cars being tuned with inlet pipes fitted.
Not a soobi anymore, but still slightly dirty

It really depends on your budget, if your willing to spend $500-600+ on an EVC type boost controller and also plan to chase more power with stock turbo or are bigger one then it’s worthwhile.

Note, the EVC style boost controllers uses are stepper motor to control the boost, unlike the solenoid in the OEM setup, so finer adjustments can be made and also minimal spikes occur. Most controllers will also allow for high and low boost setting and some also double as are boost gauge.

This is what are few of us use;

Of course the tuner can always use the exiting OEM controller and just increase the boost, the end result really depends on the tuner and how well they tune your car.

would this be just as good? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TURBOSMART-e ... 3cbf15ac47

also whats the limits of the stock injectors?

good info coming in guys cheers :D
