If you want something kind of similar to the liberty you could look at Volvo V60/S60 or VW Passat (although if you want the R36 I think they ended in 2010).
Both come in AWD & wagon too if you prefer.

I often use the Chris Bangle E60 535D in Europe & it's a really great high speed cruiser, not that we'd enjoy that here but I know the car well I guess. This car comes in AWD in the U.S & Europe but not here.

Still the one I put a link two does have the flappy paddles & seems well spec'd though over priced & still comes in my favourite colour!

but BMW don't offer manuals here either. It's just a less excessive car to roll up to a clients place in rather than the XJ.

Don't forget the shift lights intergrated into the steering wheel. Must have mod.

Just on 335's, we had one for a few days when the CooperS was getting serviced. Ever since then, i knew i would have one one day.... in Touring form of course
