Hello everybody, I'm a Liberty forums newbie (just signed up today), because I'm actually a Liberty newbie (just bought my car last week). It's a 1990 (yeah, I know, old) Liberty Wagon GX. 2.2L, No turbo, no AWD, but it seems like a good car. After it's been sitting all night, however, it hesitates quite a bit in the morning or just until it warms up, and I'm thinking it's the fuel filter as I've had similar behavior on previous cars (one Mazda, one Toyota) that was remedied by a simple fuel filter replacement. Any other postulations on the true source of the problem are welcome as well.
Here's where I need some help. After looking briefly in the engine compartment, I couldn't actually find the fuel filter. Please dont' tell me it's like the late model ones and is actually inside the fuel tank. That would not be cool since I already spent $45 on a replacement.
Anyone got any idea where it is, or want to sell me a manual for my (not so) new ride? Hey, if beggars could be choosers, does anyone have a well documented walk-through (with pictures) on the process? Really, any input at all would be helpful.
Thanks,
-Patrick
