Getting the raptor kit going on a Gen4 is a pain in the butt. The kit was originally designed for the 04 Impreza RS, so some of the brackets don't fit nicely, the piping that was supplied didn't clear the clutch resevoir at all so I had to instruct West Racing on where to cut it. West also called me today and said they needed to machine part of the inlet manifold to make the bigger injectors fit.
Also, It's FBW (or DBW depending on your postcode), so tuning has been a bit of an issue. Raptor said no, XtremeRace gave it a shot. We can log stuff using Tactrix, but reading/reflashing the rom is an issue.
West Racing are doing the Motec ECU install and tuning. I had to give them all the wiring diagrams for my stock ECU as well.

There will be a thread when the car is running again. ATM it doesn't look like I will make the Perth cruise on the 27th

No it's not. DeMobBoss might correct me on this but one of my friends who knows Paul from Pulse said that this car went boom or something like that!

After much pain and suffering (mainly by West Racing/Motec), it is done (I'll defs be there for the next Perth cruise).

Wow looks fantastic. All the pain and suffering worth it i'm sure, glad you got it sorted out. What was the tuning issue in the end, and what Motec and module solutions did you go for in order to pass the DBW stuff?

M800 hurt a lot, but what hurt more was the labour charges. West spent A LOT of time on this car.

Raptor were a bit concerned about the power nosing off at the end, but to drive, it is a lot of fun. Take off from the line is incredible. With the exhaust, it sounds like a demon. Im going to grab my housemate's GoPro and take some vids next week.

THE ONLY PROBLEM is that West couldn't find the CAN address for the tacho and thermostat, but the speedo and fuel guage are working. We might work on it ourselves when I get back from work next week.

Also, I have the Hitachi G8 ECU that came out of the car. Took the cover off and there isn't much there!

No worry about power dropping off, it going WAY higher in the first instance so a bit of drop off and its still more than I would normally predict!

The only Liberty you need to compare it against is the NA Liberty 2.5i, then you can see the difference.

3 words - Don't do it

Unless of course your not keeping the car for long or a willing to destroy a good engine.
Pushing air into an engine that is designed to suck it will massively increase the compression
and stress out a lot of major parts of the engine. I've seen a nissan n/a engine go bang
literally days after being turboed.

Make sure you do a lot of research before doing.

Raptor has supercharged dozens of NA Subaru with only one car that is circuit tracked now and again failing a big end bearing. All others fine always!

It does pay to research and LOOK VERY CLOSELY at the tuning method employed, we know of others who use another tuning solution and they see very short engine life.

The other secret is conservative boost - you dont see Raptor (for instance) promoting the use of high pressures in subaru engines, we use a low pressure which a lot of people think is TOO LOW, but we know the engine will run almost forever if you give up a couple of psi. Every customer wants to run 11psi+ but we know this is stupid so we dont do it nor will we supply parts that allow it except in exceptional circumstances. We do test at high pressures and we know the answers

Turbocharging NA engines is lethal for the engine, than engine with a centrifugal charger

Very true Tim. Very true. The problem is over 10psi. Unless the person is going to go into the engine, then up to 8psi AND TUNED is good.
