slow and sluggish?

Postby owen » Tue Jan 24, 2012 5:08 pm

hey guys,

i test drove a 07 liberty gt-b (6 spd manual) from a dealer today, and it feels slower than my stock 05 gt (taking into account it was about 40 degrees when i drove it) and also it has a squealing noise coming from the right side of the engine bay at full boost. can anybody give any insight on what the noise may be?

yes! when the salesman drove it out of the warehouse it was completely empty and the nearest servo only had 95ron. I played around with i and s modes..s felt slightly better but still not very impressive. wrong petrol can cause that squeal on boost?

Its possible too that the fuel may have been sitting in the tank for quite some time. Fuel goes "stale" and loses its juice after a while, expecially after being stagnant. 40'C wouldnt have helped.
