+1 for the bootlid handle
AND:
- boot release handle on the bootlid (ie between the number plate lights)
- heated seats (would be nice to at least offer as an option for those that need)
- ignition delay/window rollup/down with key fob buttons (like accord euro)
EDIT/ADDITION:
- Mirrors with the convex edges (to see the blindspot) - it's so handy!!


All minor things though, I mean i wouldn't drive an euro over the suby any day My bro and dad both have one... fwd eek!

Totally agree! I had to drive a Euro while my car was off the road... it just didn't compare to my Liberty.

There have been plenty of Sydney mornings during winter which I wish I had heated seats to keep me warm until the heater warmed up. Used to have it on my Honda Legend back in the states. Sure, not quite a necessity in California, but welcomed nonetheless. Plus it's to know you have it at hand if you ever do need it.

Stand corrected Bud, sorry to upset, I thought thread was about standard improvements not options, which is why I put the rider "maybe in melbourne tho ", or if you spent alot of time at the snow whatever.
I think alot of those things found on euro cars as standard heatsd mirrors ,seats etc we pay for just because the manufacturers are too lazy to take them off.
Market as a snow pak option, as I believe in Australian conditions the majority dont need as standard.
But I apologize for the soft cock jibe, put it down to a misjudged bit of attempted humour caused by the remnants of a hangover

Rear air con vents (3lt gets it, GT gets rear cup holders).
Passenger memory seating positions (3lt gets it).
Better standard brakes.
Heated seats for the price we paid.
Start button.
Bluetooth.

Jap Option have some sort of distance detection. Has a front sensor and tells you how many metres ahead the car in front is. This is shown in the info display panel.

The Euro standard thing doesn't make sense as all Euro spec cars have the steering column on the other side and therefore packed a fair bit differntly.

A lot of the users of Libs go to the snow anyway (I'm in the industry so I see them a lot when up there and know how well regarded they are in the industry) and it's a market they pride themselves in capturing so having it standard would help that buyer. The other great thing with Subaru is that there aren't too many options when buying. It's a strength to have things standard so why start now?

boot release is on the key mate just press the button, heated seats well I guess if you are in a cold climate then maybe but no chance in WA, and ignition delay well no big deal to me really but I guess some people might want this feature. Euro FWD sucks arse imo so no comparison between the two.

I think he meant a handle to pull the lid down, without having to put fingerprints on the paint.

Actually I think he meant an actual release button on the outside of the boot so that you can open it without using the button on the key.

There will be a few times when you have your hands full (groceries, shopping bags, etc), and it's just darn inconvenient to set them down to fish out your keys from your pockets to open the boot. Quite handy to simply reach over and push a button to open the boot while still holding onto the bags.

The keyless entry on our Toyota Aurion has the smart security sensor. When you approach the car, as long as you have the key in your posession, the car senses it and you can open the boot by pressing the button that's next to the rego plate or unlock the doors by merely touching the door handles. No pocket fishing necessary.

WTF?! Damn... I can see how it can be convenient and if that smart security sensor is turning up on Suzuki's I think Subaru might/may follow suite as several other car makers have brought it out too.

I thought that at first but look how he described it in his initial post..

- Inside the bootlid of a Honda Euro, it has a handle to pull the bootlid down.

Either way, a handle would be useful because I always get fingerprints on my paint when i close the lid. On the other hand, I could live without the boot release button as the button on the key-fob is sufficient for me.
