I have also just got an ECU DataScan and they are sweet. Give the 0-100 a few goes if you're game, on some country back roads where it's safer of course.

Out of interest where did you get your STi oil cap?

I got the cap off ebay after seeing a thread on here in the cosmetics section saying some guy was selling them. They are the genuine item got it for 70 bucks pretty cheap!!

It just looks different to mine that's all.
Maybe it's just the close up shot with a flash you took that caused it, but mine doesn't look as flecked or something?

Are you able to post your newer dyno graph with the TMIC and boost controller? I just had mine done at ASG and I would like to compare the shape of our curves.

Cheers

Wow what a well written writeup, great to read your story ! and such a nicely presented car.

Tell me, how's the Auto treating you with the power gains ? I'm just about to launch into modifying my car similarly and am worried about the lifespan of the AT. Have you changed oils before hand / more regularly now ?

Thanks for reading!!

The Auto seems to be managing fine. I'm not running a hell of a lot more power than stock anyway. I just changed the oil at the recommended intervals in the service manual with the recommend spec oil!! Haven't really noticed any difference at all and when the oil was changed at 50k he said the oil was really clean. I guess that's a good sign!! I drive the car pretty sensibly anyway and only give it a squirt when the feeling comes over me!!

Hey Guys,

Been a while since ive posted but been busy enjoying the car!!

Im having some trouble deciding on new wheels for the car and what sort of colour of wheels i should choose.

I have been considering a few options. At first i was considering getting some STI wheels to keep in with whole Subaru theme but i dont want to turn my GT-B into an STI and was also trying to do something different. I was looking at forking out big for a set of Japanese branded wheel such as Work or Volks, i even looked at BBS. The cost per rim was looking anywhere between the 600-1000 dollar mark for what i liked!! So have decided to keep the spending in check for the time being and looking at something cheaper. I know you get what you pay for but with other things in life other than cars to pay for i thought it wise not to be spending so much.

I came across the Tenzo-R range of wheels and found a few that i like. The size is going to be 18x8 with an offset of 45 so they will fill out the gaurds a bit more. Ive added a few pics below for opinions from you guys on what your thoughts are, good or bad!! Im leaning towards the first picture which are the project 7. Please help me out and tell me what you think. Thanks once again guys :D

I like the middle set! I have tenzo rims as well. But in saying that I constantly look and the volk range and wish o wish that I got a set. But everything comes under a budget I guess!
Now driving the mighty 86 :)

I am a total die hard fan of the enkei rpf01 and rp03, because they are very well priced. think they look fantastic with the right size and offset

Sorry to buck the trend, but I would go with the first or third set. Probably the first.
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!
