They just aren't as nice as your STi rims man....

Haha. I know. I kid cuz I love. But I have been considering something more multi-spoke.

I'm seriously thinking of the Enkei FS-01:

Surprising quite comfortable. I'd say equal to the ride with STi springs. On one hand the ride feels a bit more settled and controlled. However on the other hand large, sharp bumps crash through the cabin more. But since the cabin shudder doesn't happen too often, I'm quite happy with the trade off.

After getting many offers for the STi wheels, I finally put them back on to see what the big hoopla is all about, as they just never appealed to me when I first got the car. :dntknw:

So I dropped by my local tire place which had a special on Pirelli tires. Picked up a set of P-Zero Nero's in 225/40-18. If anyone is interested, The Nero's a firmer albeit still quiet ride than the Rosso's. But man, the grip is incredible. Feels more planted on the road as cornering is done with much more confidence.

Here are some pics post-lowered with the STi wheels (sorry about the over-exposed pics, I only had time during noon).

Btw, those bastards at the tire place were even more hurtful than Trieu, commenting that my 19" wheels were quite crappy compared to the charcoal STi's. :mda:

Haha. I know. You were also being honest and I appreciate that. Because if anything you planted the seed of thought of putting the STi wheels back on. I can now see it isn't too bad after the lowering. A nice sleeper look, but a very different attitude.

So I should thank you for leading me back to my origins as I start to accept the car a bit more for it is. Unfortunately you may be blame for snuffing out any hopes others had of buying the STi wheels.

Well it's a toss up between the STi front lip and the side steps.

Driveways which I used to clear before I now scrape a little bit with the front lip.

And driving over ramps, like when I got my wheel alignment done, the side steps catch the edge.
