If you just want the sound you can also try replacing the factory panel filter with a pod filter (preferably one with a box to shield it from the engine bay heat a little.
I had the Cobb tuning one and it the intake sound was pretty extreme, so much so I took it off (the atmo bov sound is not for me - high flow panel filter with the resonator removed gives as much sound as I'm willing to have)
That way you get the whoosh of the air sucking in and the bov sound.
If you are after that sound I'd definitely recommend it.
They can be had for arond the same price as a bov too, depending on what bov & intake you are looking at.
[Edit] I should also mention I have the GFB respons on 100% plumb back, not the stock bov, although for the purpose of intake sound I don't think it really matters much.
