New Ride - First Post Updated

Postby pips06 » Mon Jan 09, 2012 7:28 pm

Out with the old and in with the new, I can just hear all the people thinking i need my head checked. But i can definately see potential in the wagon plus i needed the extra space that the Gen 5 offers. Im waiting for a few bits and pieces to arrive coutesy of Phat that i think will get it to a point that i will be happy with. Currently i have some 19's fitted but will wait for the suspension mods before posting any pics. Im still undecided on which grille to get, the corazon one is nice but also dont mind the Tommy Kaira.

*Update*

So 1 month in and the first round of mods complete.

Full LED treatment inside and out
K2 front lip
Tein H Spec springs
Whiteline rear swaybar
19 x 8 Work Varianza rims

I've got a K2 rear roof spoiler in transit and am still deciding on what to do about the grille. Im leaning towards the Corazon at the moment.
After the grille and rear roof spoiler, the only other visual mods i have planned at this point is a cat back system, maybe remove/paint the mud guards and loose the numberplate surrounds.

The combination of Tein springs and rear swaybar have made a big difference in regards to reducing to "floating" feeling of the Gen 5

Comments and critiscism welcome. Pics are nothing special, just taken with my phone camera.

At least it's white and a wagon for the Gen5.

At the moment it looks like a massive downgrade, but if you are willing to spend the money (and I hope you do) you can make that thing look awesome.
Been waiting for someone to mod a white Gen 5 wagon....please please do.

Going off your previous car I'd say it will turn out well. A modded gen 5 can look pretty tough.

Looks good pips, i mean, it pales in comparison to your previous car but it's still pretty damn hot and can only get hotter

Looking very nice. I really like those K2 lips and the drop in height is spot on.

Lip is a nice addition, but the wheels just dont seem to suit. Need to really fill the guard more as being 19s they just look too skinny. 19x9 minimum I think is needed. They almost look "commodore" sunken spec IMO
