Hi all. I've been on here for a little while as I searched for a Liberty 3.0R-B wagon. After major dramas with my first purchase (blown head gaskets!), I ended up getting a refund from the dealer and tracking down a better example.

So here is my 2008 3.0R-B with all the usual features + sat-nav. The car is pretty clean, but needs a bit of a tidy up.

No major plans for it just yet. Maybe a set of rims, exhaust and a flash tune :) Will post some better pics once I've had time to detail it properly.

I gave the interior a bit of a clean up over the weekend. The leather got treated with some Meguiars leather cleaner and the dash and all other interior vinyl/plastics were cleaned and coated with some 303 aerospace protectant. Unfortunately the previous owners must have had little dogs (or something!), so there's little dimples in the armrests and parts of the front interior :( It was the only real fault I could find in the car, so had to go with it...

They sure are a nice car to drive. A bit lazy with the SI drive in 'Intelligent' mode though  I've been leaving it in Sport :)

Next up I need to track down some interior mats and maybe a towbar. Any ideas how much for a set of genuine Subaru mats?

Hey mate, if you looking for a tow bar, PM a guy called "Dropz" he is looking to sell one :).

Matts from a dealer, budget for about $150 or so.

Car looks the goods :)

Unfortunately I want to sell my bumper with my towbar so I can get one that isn't cut, and sedans have a different bumper. :(

Genuine mats are about $150 as stated, but ask the dealer if they have their own mats, where I work we have our own Eblens Subaru mats which are about half the price and fit exactly the same, and look just as good.
Built not bought, it's a way of life.

Cheers Dropz, no worries about the towbar, it's not urgent anyway, will keep an ear out for one.

Will check out a dealer for some mats :)

Finally got a chance to give the car a bit of a clean up and a coat of wax. The paintwork is pretty good, but I'll give it a clay and machine polish when I get some more time.

I drove the family over 1000km in it over the Xmas/NY holidays and couldn't be happier. The amount of luggage these things swallow up is unreal! The 3.0 six is a really nice engine once it's got a few RPM on the dial :D

Decided to do install some new high beam and parker globes to give it a more uniform look with the HID's :)

Got these for about $50 on ebay and came with the little W5W parkers as well which was a bonus. If the parkers blow, I'll change to LED later.
Image
Had to take off the intake snorkel and HID covers as mentioned in other theads on here. Made it much easier to get access to the parkers.

The old setup...

And now 8)

Still got a few things I want to do to the car. Seems to be bugger all in the way of 'off the shelf' catback exhausts for the 3.0 wagon, so I'll see if someone can fabricate something decent locally. Then I'd like to get it flash tuned, but the ROM definition for this doesn't exist yet either :?
