Newbie question

Hi All,

I have just purchased my first subaru. its a 2008 Liberty Wagon and like most of my cars I am wanting to put some after market wheels on it.

The wheels I am looking at are 18x8 with an offset of +42 with 225/40/18 tyres.

Can someone tell me if these will fit without any rubbing or need to roll the guards?

The alternate wheels are 18x7.5 with a +45 offset same tyres.

Will post up some pics when done.

go for the 18x7.5 + 45
the others will most probably rub slightly unless you roll guards. if not lowered it should be ok, but lowered it could become an issue

yeh the 18x7.5 with 45 offset should be fine at stock height (i recall reading that on a thread not too long ago)

I had the same spec tyre running on an 18 x 8 +48, lowered with no issues whatsoever.

An extra 6mm extension running a +42 "shouldnt" be too much of an issue. Id only see you having to dial in a little more negative camber in the front. The rears have a fair bit of room to extend.

As above lowered or intending too? With stock suspension, no drama's, even with STi springs shouldnt be a problem.

You will definitely have no issues with the 7.5 +45 even quite low.
