head light globes

Postby LIBER8ED » Tue Oct 24, 2006 5:09 pm

hey trendsetters,

i know the my06 2.5i comes with pretty good lights as far as whats about these days, which are the H7 12V 55W jobs..

now if i want..... better globes.. what do i need to increase.. ie the wattage, the voltage, or just differnt globes altogether

would i be right in saying that if increase the wattage, things start burning out quicker?

im happy with whats im them now, but hey, who doesnt want to see better....

anyone reccommend something without me having to take a small loan out to pay for them...

ideally i would love those new xenons that most of you have, but thats wishfull thinking for some of us

cheers

They are just a different globes, they are much brighter than the stock ones and project a really nice colour, very whitey blueish. Looks great my brother had a set in his sp20 and wrx. A much cheaper alternative than HIDS are they are legal unlike after market hids.

I got some miramaxx 110w bulbs, the light was like silverish/bluish but it didn't really do the trick. So now I have purchased a 2 whole replacement headlamps with HID inbuilt from the japanese model. Costed an arm and a leg though, hopefully it arrives next week..

define "arm and a leg"

i only ask this, cause my car is leased, so anything i replace on it can either claim it back with the receipts, and class it as "replacement" ( its a wonderfull word ) or i if i can find a supplier that accepts fleet cards, i can just swipe it.

hence why i want to get mags, and get the purchase receipt to say "replacement of wheels" ha ha.. love it

$1450 sent to australia. u might be able to get it cheaper not sure, but i was desperate coz one of my headlamps melted (long story) and subaru Australia wanted to charge me $800 for one headlamp. So I went out and got James to organise a pair from Subaru Japan.
