Ahh i remember the days of benchmarking and clocking the bitch until she burns...

forever upgrading, its impossible to stay up to speed. I'm already wanting more, 8800gtx already 8800gtx too slow... sigh.

Bought new components... a Thermaltake Lanbox Lite, Zalman silent PSU and an XFX 8600GT with Zalman factory cooler, factory overclocked.

I'm aiming for a near-silent PC

no, bought it from Scorptec because it's the only place open between now and after Christmas :lol:

but the gfxcard I bought is too loud for me... Zalman cooler is still loud

so I'm going to see about returning it and swapping it for a passively cooled 8600GT.

i bet the zalman cooler is still quieter than the thermaltake 'silent tower' i had haha. it was like 4 hdd's spinning at full speed. terrible

go with liquid cooling............... and then go to big W and get a 40$ fridge, the 12v ones haha. Put the radiator inside that, happi gaming in the summer :lol:
