As for the decals, anything ive seen available here is shit.

This is the place to get them from.....

Removing tyres is more time and money. I have always done it this way with flawless results.

Funny you post that link, its the exact link that i re-ordered new stickers yesterday. Bit more $$, but at least they are the correct size :)

Im doing it the lazy way (ie, on car), but it should turn out quite nicely :D

Nice work, especially for the awkward job of doing it on the car.

Is that the right spot to be sitting the jack stands?

The stands are in the factory jacking positions.

kiks said something about using the big metal bar between the 2 wheels at the front, and since he said that I use that spot now. Seems a lot safer to me too, always a bit iffy about using those jacking points for the jack stands as they are in a pretty awkward spot.

Well I should clarify they are awkward for my jack stands as my stands are those curved type ones, not just the circular type like my trolley jack is.

The tops of my stands are a shallow U shape, and fit nicely around the jacking point.
I have always done it this way, and its how i was always told to do it.

I have the same type.

And hopefully kiks will come in here and tell us if either I'm wrong, or you are
He's very blunt!

But I have to say, I have used both and once you go to that metal arm you won't go back.

Brakes are coming along a treat.

As for the stand position, I always put them on the chassis rails at the front.
