The only down side would be running rich, which in hindsight is a lot safer then running lean.

The ECU will compensate for the additional air in the first few minutes of starting after parts have been fitted.

It’s ideal to have all you’re intake and exhaust mods completed prior to getting are tune….. no point fitting these parts after.

Btw my car ran fine for almost are year without a tune, I had are few extra bits added like are larger tmic, full tbe, modified intake and air box with HKS high flow panel and also boost controller.

Don't be sorry you're only stating the facts......

I might also add, even if the car is tuned it would be a worthwhile investment to log your car from time to time just to make sure things are running right…….. my first tune could have easily turned my car into a TB STI paper weight if it wasn’t for particular mummy wagon driver and his tunning knowledge……

Strictly a daddy wagon mate. It's you that has the auto.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. Just stating more facts.

Got my turbo back exhaust and SPT air intake and is running really good. I'm going to get a tune in the next couple of months. What type of CAI and TBE are you looking at? The one suggestion I have is make sure you get a good air box or shroud around the air intake, cause the one thing I found after fitting my SPT intake is that it sucked too much hot air. I'm making a custom stainless air box in the next few days.
