SYSTEM FINALLY INSTALLED MY07 WAGON!!

Well installed it about 3-4 weeks ago! But hey, just wanted to show you guys!

Needed to think of a way to keep my spare tire and also have a sound system without the massive eff off box in the boot of my car!

So I came up with this which me and my dad created! With some MDF! Plus carpet which is a couple of shades darker

SYSTEM:

Alpine PXA-H800 Processor + RUX C800 controller

Rockford Fosgate P3D4-12 Punch Subwoofer
Rockford Fosgate P400-4 Punch Amplifier
Rockford Fosgate p700-1bd Amplifier
Rockford Fosgate P152-S (Front speakers + tweeter)
Rockford Fosgate P1653 (Rear speakers)
Rockford Fosgate 1 Farad Digital Capacitor

Superlite Dynamat deadening Sheets in all four doors + boot

With all Rockford wiring, 4 gauge wire into distribution block to 8 gauge wires to both amplifiers!

Well me and Dad were just thinking to create like a low box like contraption to cover it!

Or I can replace with the factory cover again? And just have no music? So yeah! haha

Well I can still use the boot! I can take the board out. Then I'll just have no music! Or create something to cover it with low profile look! perspex + neons! Haha

Nice! How's the PXA-H800?

Are you still using the factory headunit?

If the sub is utilizing the spare wheel well, where is the spare tyre? Did you create a box on the underside of the floor for the sub?

Very neat install. Is there a reason you went with all Rockford Fosgate gear? Those Punch series subs are a pretty good entry/mid level sub, they do go low just make sure you don't push it too hard. Personally, I would have gone with different gear but as long as it sounds good to you that's all that matters. I would have also not opted for a capacitor, you're not putting that much power nor drawing too much of a load to warrant one.

Yeah I just love the Rockford look of things! And I'm not all the picky with perfect sound condition, just wanted a more bass'y high pitch all rounded sounds. So I'm not to fussed about it!

But all in all I like it!

Looks good,its always good to see different perspectives/ideas, just for me I need my boot to put my work bag in the back and shopping etc etc. Maybe me putting 2 subs was too much? But I got mine as a package so I cant complain... What does that silver thing do inbetween the amps do?

It is a capacitor. Most generally used as a band aid solution for poor installation techniques. But they do have a use when applied for the right reasons. They are more common in big power systems loads but in more modest applications like this they can be a good safeguard depending on the amps etc. A lot of the time they are just used for 'bling' and personal preference. I personally wouldn't have gone with a cap in a system of this size as I don't think it's warranted but I'll admit the good ones do look good.

just create a false floor for the boot.. so it sits over that still. will be able to carry stuff and have music just put some nice metal mesh in it in places so plenty of bass still can travel through
