Splits, amp & sub - install or sell?

Postby bosc0 » Wed Nov 30, 2011 8:01 am

I've been storing some Focal splits (brand new), an Audison SRX3 and also a 12" dual voice coil woofer for years. Now that i have a new ride i'm wondering whether it's worth the installation woes.

I don't really want to rip up the sill trims and what not, so whatever i'll do will require standard cabling.

To sell or to install?

Geeeez, i'm tempted. What are the specs on the original amplifier? Obviously it would be advisable to rewire the whole car for the amp, but is it possible to use the original wiring for an aftermarket amp?
Same with the door speakers, will most 6.5" splits slot right in with the original wiring?

Yes get new wiring for amp and speakers... doesnt cost much. Factory wiring will not give the full potential the system has. For the fronts, u need to add some deadening and make baffles then seal it well to give it tight bass.
