It is tidy and getting tidier.

Just a 30mm drop to take the bounciness out of it. It wont be going offroad or driven on a beach at all. Just some of the spots I surf have a dirt road to get there but nothing more than a few ruts.

Replaced rear brakes today and fitted the lower springs in the rear.

Shocks are gone. :( Not at all unexpected for a 226,000km car.

LHS shock strut retracts by itself and doesnt return. New struts all round are in order so I'll order tomorrow and I'll replace all suspension bushes over the next few months.

Should make a difference. :D

Its slowly getting there.....

I replaced the motor on the weekend, fitted new shocks and lowered springs all round, fitted new f & r swaybar links. Had my PDR guy come around and tidy the car up. Bought a brand new bumper which I just fitted this morning after getting sprayed. Ive basically stripped and cleaned the entire interior which came up a treat.

Still in the process of going over the paintwork, drivers side and tailgate done.

Plans afoot...

Tint (after RW)
Fujitsubo diffback (on its way)
Work Emotion 17 x 7.5 +48 (on their way) will be color coded to lower body.
Rear two pots (gotta match the fronts  )
Respray front RHS guard and bonnet (dented) when I get the front bar.
Replace front bar (on its way) current one has AIDS and Leprosy.

Then its should be pretty neat. :D

Haha love reading all your car building threads Mark. The car looks great! Some awesome ideas coming together for the Outback and its good to see you enjoy modding any car that you have in your garage whether its turbs or n/a!

Keep up the good work Sir, as always definetely keen to see how this one turns out. I have high expectations from such a perfectionist. Matching brakes reasoning with the face hahahaha... love it!

Cheers Aaron. :D

My plan for the brakes is to do them orange with white or grey lettering as Im redoing the side pinstripe in orange. :D

Orange brakes behind the slate grey wheels should work well IMO.

Hrm Orange, never thought of using that colour on the brakes. Never seen it before either. Nonetheless im sure it will come out looking professional as always haha.

Very keen on seeing the colours come together. Keeping my eyes on this thread :D

A little too yellow for my liking Kieran.

Looking more along the lines of Chevy orange.

The picture in my head works with the orange and grey wheels Aaron.
