Installing JDM STi Pedals

Has anyone bought and fitted a set of these? I just ordered some from Phat and so far my efforts have only allowed me to install the brake pedal. The foot rest (Auto) seems too long for my car and also the accelerator looks like it fits on with some sort of pivot mount where my one doesnt. Thinking I may have wrong model or they arent designed to fit my model lib MY08 tb STi.

If they are like this I have installed them in mine.
The entire foot rest gets removed via 2 bolts and replaced with the new one that comes with the set.


The accelerator pedal I had to get a stanley knife and shave off a couple of mm around where the little bolt goes (the black stuff at the rear), as these pedals are designed for the MY10 model. You keep the GT.B pedals ontop of the accelerator pedal as the metal seems to be pressed on to the pedal. But you take the GT.B pedals off everything else.

Thanks Kieran but mine are different to those as I have an auto. See how your accelerator has that long bolt through the back and sits over the top of your existing pedal? The STi accelerator I have is pretty much the same as that except my stock accelerator is nothing like that and I dont see how it will fit as there is nothing to bolt on to/through back there behind the pedal.

Also the foot rest is a bit longer and narrower than my current stock foot rest so If I used the existing holes then it would stick up too high or Id have to drill new holes which im not keen on doing.

The bolt doesn't go through anything, it just connects the 2 sides together and lets you tighten it from the back.
It is only held on by the thing at the top you can see in my picture, which looks similar to that little bar with 3 holes you have in your picture, although mine has 2. And I got one of those for brake, accelerator and clutch.

Yours only seems to be held on by the bolt and nothing else, as I don't see any holes on your accelerator pedal. Did you buy them through PHAT?

I had the same pedals on mine.

Your accelerator pedal has to pivot. The pivot area is secured by that roll pin that you can see above the bolt on Kieran's pedal.

The mounting bolt for your accelerator pedal actually goes through the centre of the roll pin as its hollow.

Yer I bought them through Phat, that little clip with the three holes is supposed to be for the foot rest and on the japanese diagrams it just sits over the top of the old foot rest which doesnt work at all for me as they are different sizes.

The accelerator only attaches via that pin at the back and has no other clips/hooks to secure it. It cant sit over the top of my existing pedal as its slightly different shape too. Ive contacted Phat as I dont think they are designed to suit my car at all. Probably made just for WRX STi.

You could always try the ones I have though, comes in an AT version as well.

Yer but mark probably has different stock pedals than my model. I dont mind the ones you have but they look more like my stock ones. I'll see what Phat rekons.

Japan Parts dont list those pedals for your the '07 - '09 only for '04 -'06. So they probably wont fit.

No offence to anyone, but doing a little research on your own part isnt hard, especially with the internet, to ensure you get the right parts instead of just relying on others to provide them.

going off the above than all parts sold by Japan parts will not fit

99% of all the parts i supply fit 100% with the other 1% requiring small modifications so if if you order the wrong part i will normaly pick up on if and make corrections

No offence taken, I have spent an hour or so on them with no avail, and had someone else have a go too but it looks like the brake pedal is the only one that fits.

I am only going off what I have, even the pedal pictures in the instructions (they are in japanese) seem different to my car. The foot rest is completely different size/shape and the back of my accelerator pedal doesnt look like Kierans, there would be a large gap between the pedal and the bolt at the back. Also if its just supposed to fit over the top like in the diagrams it looks sh*thouse as you can see the original pedal behind it (again slightly different shape).

I will have to upload pictures on Friday when I am back home and not at work.
