or
you could take my word for it and the word of other owners, but i dought they will post due to all the question that will be put to them about what was done to there cars. As these are not cars belonging to me i am unable to give the info out

did you get the HDI intercooler fitted yet? Thinking of throwing one on mine too, just not sure how it fits if you want to keep the crash bar in place.

yes i saw that, but its not great, lots of questionable pictures, like it doesn't show the belly pan being fitted back on the car and shows cable ties connecting bumper skin onto intercooler! Would be great to hear the actual pain points from someone thats already managed to get one fitted.

Of course he is entitled to withhold his knowledge, but i guess I was more curious as to what he had in mind.... Was he thinking of replacing some parts already upgraded to get the result or was it more of a "my tuner pwns your tuner" kind of thing.

It doesn't require really telling me any secrets, but it would have been enough information without telling any details for those who were curious and had followed this cars build from the beginning...

A simple "I would change a few things to get you that 250 figure you want" or "Man bring that shit up and i'll hook you up with a sweet tune to pwn that shit out of that 250 figure"....
Not giving anything away there and helpful at the same time for those interested....

there are a few simple thing that have been over looked with this car and things that have been over thought at the same time but all can be rectified quite easily. There are also a few little secrets that i have learnt along the way to make the 250 with ease

i hope thats helped you out enough

Yup, thanks for that. Very helpful indeed. That's all that I was really after and i'm sure that is quite helpful for others too on their journey. :)

PHAT GT wrote:stop throwing money at this car!!!!!!!!!!!!

bring it up for a few days and drive away with a 250kw@w car all day every day (on pump gas)

ALRIGHT.....Where do I start.....

1st - I would love to bring my car up and get you to work your magic as I have the up most confidence in you Michael ( I've told you this many times before :D ) that confidence was reinforced when I came to see you this year and there's no need to prove that to anyone....

2nd - I will be the 1st to admit that I myself is quite disappointed and upset with the result of my car, there's no denying that....but quite honestly I'm over it....I now know that given another chance I would approach my project quite differently.....It's a shame that it had to come at such a cost in time and $$$$...

3rd - I feel it's too late to make any such drastic changes, repairs and or fixes.....as I'm at the end of my car's development project and once I have the FMIC, injectors and other little bits fitted and tuned I will be calling it a day on the car.....the end, chapter closed, no part II.......

4th - Despite the lack of performance and high financial costs I've put on my car I will not deny the fact that the knowledge, experience, happiness, regret, and friendship gained is something money cant buy.....

5th - My priorities on my car are going to change as I'm in the process of a career move in which I need to focus on next year and of course my family...

AND LASTLY: All I can say is once again THANK YOU so much for your service, help and ongoing concern.....I know you come off as quite boastful, arrogant and mean sometimes...but thats because you get frustrated, annoyed and concerned when you see people like me have more money $$$$ than brains ( I dont have heaps of $$$$ btw ) and end up running into a wall like I have.....you just want to help and lend out your services with the best value that money can buy....am i right?

BUT I KNOW at the end of the day you DO mean well and are such an asset to us liberty owners and to the forum community....

I think I've said what I needed to say...

Thanks All

i am happy that i have helped you in some way

I know you come off as quite boastful, arrogant and mean sometimes......
i like to consider myself to be a very straight shooter and call a spade a spade which maybe taken the wrong way by some .Maybe i should try a bit of bullshit upselling like many of the big workshops do and i would be better off

but thats because you get frustrated, annoyed and concerned when you see people like me have more money $$$$ than brains ( I dont have heaps of $$$$ btw ).......
no i get annoyed at the people/shops the misguide people like you just to make a few bucks and never deliver what they promise ,and no i dont think you and alot of other have money to waste on dead end mods

understand in my job i get around to alot of workshops and hear the crap they tell there customers just to get the dollars in the door but at the end of the day thats there business so if i can help try and advise people i meet in my private life to spend only what they have to spend to achieve there goals, But be warned i will not take short cuts just to save a few dollars so "do it once ,do it right"

:D

Hey Dan, I'm using my existing hyperflow CAI as it's very similar in design to the HDi, the only mod I need to undertake is drill a hole for the pipe to pass through the heat shield ( no biggy ) :D

cool thanks, ill check out the one that comes with mine, the included in the CAI piping in the price for me. Did you actually get yours yet? I dont see any reference to a BOV adaptor in any of the install guides i have came across. Do you know if it comes with one. I doubt these cars will like running without a BOV on factory turbo's

I doubt these cars will like running without a BOV on factory turbo's = nope it does not come with a BOV adapter, and this is one of the problems I have since I'm running a perrin BOV with the adapter plate to fit on the TMIC, I've purchased some silicon piping that will fit between the perrin BOV ( removing the adapter plate )and HDi piping.....the only worry now is will there be enough slack to make it fit onto the OEM piping on the car, worse comes to worse I will cut the pipe and re weld it closer so everything fits....lets just say it's not as easy as the instructions make it out to be.. 8)
