King Springs for 2.5i GEN4 Wagon... Any thoughts?

Postby blkdog » Thu Nov 03, 2011 6:31 pm

Hows it?

Has anyone got any thoughts on King Springs + Billies?
(King Part# KSFL-42SP+KSRL-29) they are approx. 30mm - 35mm Lower than standard.

Get'n kinda confused with the suspension package thing... BC Coilovers, Billies + Pinks, Billies + S-Techs, Billies + Phat S-Tech's... bahhh.... So i thought i'd try my way King + Billies :?
P.S I cant get power, so i'll go for handling.

Cheers,
Kris

I found the King/Billie combo a little harsh is a previous Liberty.

How much for the King springs if you dont mind me asking, fitted?

300 bucks brand spankn from a joint in Hallam (Melbourne) "Online Performance Autos" bought a few parts for the previous cars there... not a bad place for quick/reasonable priced parts.

I was going to do the fit myself :o I've done all 4 previous cars (with Kings) but never Subaru...Any differences? i should know about?

Let me know.

Ive bought a few things previously from them also. No dramas.

No differences. Pretty straight forward like most other cars.

honestly I would never go king springs.... very harsh and if you want good handleing you need a couple of things that will make it handle like a dream

Coilovers - BCBR bang for buck
Tyres - Federal 595R or Toyo R1R's <--- both awesome tyres they grip like crazy and good value for money
Front + Rear Sway
Front + Rear Strut

your car will handle like a go kart!

gonna jump on board here, i have said set up of billies and king springs. to be honest, the ride isnt that bad, still on the harsh side but not that bad. handling isnt too good, but i plan on completely overhauling my suspension set up in the new year. the front was lowered by an inch but the rears were raised by 10mm just after installed but i think the rear has dropped since then after settling in
TEAM FUNERAL HEARSE!
Only slightly modified, I swear!

If you want low ride height, Billies with Phat S-techs and rear spacers shims. Approx 35mm lowering

If you only want a slight lowering, Billies with Wagon specific STI pinks. Approx 15-20mm lowering
