$2000-$3000 what to do?

Ok, so back ground on my car is that it I have a K & N Panel Filter, Full TBE and a soon to be verso tune done.

I consider this stage one, probably a majority of peoples first steps into chasing more power.

What I need to know is whats next, if you had 2-3k what would you go for, if you were chasing purely more performance.

I have absolutely no idea, so please help

if your doing it wrong (power before handling and brakes) then get a bigger tmic.

whats a good set of brakes going to cost by the way?

with the suspension I'm not sure yet, I don't drive my car like a lunatic around corners or anything my mates that have had theres done handle like go karts, but yeah not sure. Have you had your suspension upgraded? Worth it?

Whilst in general agreement with you on the points you make, its not what the guy asked for

in response to the question i would say:

- Upgrade TMIC or go Hybrid front mount kit ($900-$1000 fitted)
- upgrade injectors and fuel pump - $1000 + $200-300 for fitting
- Retune for e85 - $500

Theres just under $3k and should reap another 15-20kw atw on similar boost levels i reckon

if e85 is not available then do the tmic \ fmic upgrade and :

- Vf36 twin scroll (search for a used one on wrx forums or ebay etc) - $600-$700 used
- Upgrade standard up-pipe to suit - $200 with flanges
- Retune - $500

Same sort of dosh and similar expected output.

Brands, not gonna try and copy paste from the net like I actually know anything. As for setups, best to speak with your tuner so that everything is on par with one another. They should be able to tell you how far you can push each part to get the best out of it

Unfortunately for my tuner, won't name names but they have one of the best reps in town for tuning but buying parts from them is more of a plug job for some big head brands! haha

No probs - can you weld?

If so, you can buy the vf36/37 turbine housing inlet flanges off ebay for $35 - then its a matter of grinding off the old flange and welding the new flange onto your existing up-pipe, then mount the new turbo - may need some fiddling if you're going to run a tmic although not major given the vf36 is not an overly large unit

If not then just get someone to modify it to suit

Got any tips?, combination of simple clean yet different. Might go down halo road, haven't seen any around...

A set of bendix ultimates for the front and rear pads with some slotted rotors up front is a simple easy upgrade and they'll make quite an impact on braking performance. If you upgrade suspension the most common things are thicker swaybars and some good springs (teins) with good quality bilsteins.

I'd get:
- Rear sway bar
- Aftermarket lower arm bushes
- Tein S Tech springs with bilstein shocks (i think you can still get the bilsteins from wheel power)
- Front mount
- ECU tune

Then save up another $3,000-4,000 to do a turbo upgrade + switch to e85 if it's readily available by then
