Extractor Manufacturing

Postby Tradewind » Tue Oct 18, 2011 10:04 pm

I am considering manufacturing EZ30D exhaust extractors and this poll is about gauging interest, if very low amount of hits I will not produce extractors, if strong interest then ...................we do

Material will be exhaust grade stainless

Design will have a likeness to the form of the K2 headers

10mm flanges

No cats included

I expect to have a set made prior to Xmas this year

Other thoughts and opinions are welcome

EZ30D characterised by following features

EZ30D: 2999CC DOHC, 245ps (180 kW) @6600rpm, 297Nm@4200rpm. Bore 89.2mm, Stroke 80mm. Compression 10.7:1. This version had one exhaust port per cylinder, a drive-by-wire throttle, a black plastic intake manifold, VVL and AVCS. It was available in manual and automatic unlike the old EZ30D. Found in the 2003-2009 Legacy 3.0R, Outback 3.0R and 2006-2008 Tribeca.

Don't tell PowerChip about the possibility of the extractors looking like someone else's product...

Doyab

There are Liberty's known as 3.0R but there is no engine designation of "R" for the EZ30

I added extra info to the first post

That quote is from wiki. Sometimes unreliable. There is a ez30r.

Doyab.
you have a gen4, look at your engine code on your Build plate
EZ30Dxxxx

the EZ30R name has been widely adopted as a way to distinguish the Gen3 Outback EZ30D's from the Gen4 (3.0R) EZ30D's

If you look on engine casting its just Z30 if I recall, will look again sometime, can see it from drivers side under the plenum runners
