EZ30 inlet manifold- fittment

Postby Finky » Sun Oct 16, 2011 9:25 pm

Hey guys.. Just wonder who knows for sure if the cast metal inlet manifold from the ez30 outback will replace the plastic manifold on the newest ez30 liberties? Like exact fit?

Im not whether it will fit or not, but are you doing it for power gains..! (For better flow.?) Because although they're plastic, they are really good..! Michael south rates them big time..

Considering i made the runners and inner plate of that pictured manifold, and Al did the welding and shit, yes.

Bolts straight on, is a complete waste of time unless you want a massive plenum...The ez30R plastic manifold is fantastic, easily the best manifold subaru have ever made. There is little point for front entry unless its purely track only. Loss of AC is balls.

As for exact fit, they are a variable runner length piece of shit on the outback/gen3 EZ30 version, utterly f*cking horrible manifolds and it was about 4 hours work to get the runners even remotely acceptable in surface quality. Casting imperfections and air pockets and shit.. Utter shit.

Buy some coloured wrinkle paint and paint them or leave the engine cover on
