iPod dock in car

Who thinks they could make the following for me??

So that little coin holder/crap collector in the pre facelift in front of the cup holders, well I'd like to make an iPod dock to sit there.. I have a JVC HU with the iPod auxiliary cable which could run from the back of the HU to just under that spot where I could take out the existing little bit & just simply plug my phone in there.

ATM I have the aux cable running to the glovebox but I'd love to be able to just get in the car, plug my phone in & away you go..

I'm not much of a handyman in terms of playing with plastic & that sorta thing so will enlist someone's assistance if they think they could make one.

Nope. My ipod has sat through multiple summers in glove boxes. its fine. but if ur worried, jst taje it out when u leave the car.

Mine sits in the glove box everyday and still goes fine. Although battery is shot from being so old.

+1 for that, my ipod nano permanently lives in my glovebox, it only comes out to be updated.

I bought an FSL-21 to give me an AUX on my stock pre-facelift stereo (via the cd changer port).. which I then plugged one of these into:

I ran the cable to the phone with the apple connector up in between the handbrake cover and the console, and I just plug it in and sit it in the little coin holder.. this cable also charges your phone/ipod which is great.. really excellent quality too

Clever place to run the cable mate! I have an aftermarket HU with aux already so won't need that bit of gear, but I like where you've run it to

How does this connect to the CD changer? That plug is square/rectangular and I can only see 2 RCA's & a mini stero plug.

OK thanks. I focused only on the pic of the main kit in your previous post.

I've decided to change the entire headunit (+ speakers). I went on a long driving holiday recently and listed to the stock unit a lot. It's decent but is lacking clarity among other things. I bought the double din JDM facia a while back but second thoughts about replacing the entire system and was looking at the various Aux In options. But I would rather have a complete and uncompromised iPod/USB integration with better SQ. I'm just waiting for a decent DAB+ headunit to be released.
