Varex Exhaust

Postby t.renshaw34 » Thu Oct 06, 2011 1:53 am

hey guys, so got my X force center and Y pipes, now just looking at mufflers, am really keen on the Varex ones but after speaking to X force they said they they only come with the muffler and no inlet pipe to bolt up to the std X force Y pipe, this doesnt bother me but im just woundering how much you think an exhaust shop would charge to make up some little inlet pipes to make the mufflers fit onto the Y pipe?

any pro's or con's on the Varex mufflers? im getting the 2.5" outlet pipe and getting the exhaust shop to bolt my stock GT tips onto them, mainly to keep it looking stealth.

but then on the other hand I really want to get the twin 3" tips just cause it looks EPIC :D

(id embed it but it keeps cutting off the side, files too large i think)

muffler shop charged me 150 a side to do what you need done (i was in same situation) - make up connecting pipes from mufflers to y-pipe
im not sure whether this was a good price or not, but it was damn good quality so im not complaining

and i know jaydece has the varex mufflers...hed be able to give you some advice

Thanks for the help guys :). Yea I was expecting to pay $100-$150 her muffler to fit it right.

I think I'm going to get the non tip 2.5" outlet pipe ones and put the stock tips on them, 1, to keep it stealth and 2, cause I'm only a P plater and the SA cops are hitlers sons and daughters, lol.
