Have thought about fibreglassing, but I don't have the time or the patience or skill at the moment to do it.

Have you got any pics of your install? It's so hard to find nice clean installs that don't take up much room for the Liberty.

The Americans have it pretty easy, someone designed a box that sits above the spare wheel, and under the carpet floor, however that wouldn't work in my case (mounting depth is too deep for my sub) and they also have space saver spares.

Any rattles when cranked up? Perhaps it all got cancelled out since theres so much power fed into it? hehhe

Its quite a big box, but i still have 3/4 of the boot, just cant get any long objects and packing the boot now is a bit like tetris. LOL

As for rattles, I only have 2 (which is actually pretty good). One is the rear bumper on the left hand side (just behind the wheel), I'm going to attempt to fix this soon though, just need to find time as there is a vent there to let air pressure escape from the boot when the boot is closed (this is bad for a subwoofer setup because I want the air pressure coming into the cabin!). And second rattle is the plastic boot trim on the boot lid (where the number plate goes). Ive already deadened the number plate, and that doesn't rattle anymore but that plastic is doing my head in (and it already has 1 layer of stinger roadkill on it!)

The rest inside the cabin are from coins in cup holders, phone vibrating against plastic etc. But nothing major.

However I can't hear the two rattles mentioned above when cranked up, can only be heard outside the car!

That rattle behind the bumper may have something to do with the vents that sit there, if you remove the boot trim and/or rear bumper you will see a giant 6x4" one way valve in the form of a rubber flap on a plastic vent to allow air pressure to escape the boot but not enter, I assume this is designed to stop someone slamming the boot shut or doors shut from blowing your eardrums out like my audi used to if you were sitting inside when that happened.

Yep. Thats exactly what it is. Its located on the left hand side, behind the boot trim. I had the boot trim off last week figuring out a way of securing my sub box, and in the rush of putting everything back together I forgot to seal that off somehow. Looks like tomorrow the sub box is coming out (again!) for me to plug that hole with something!

Well I thought there was only the one on the left (since that was where the most rattling was coming from), but today when I had a quick look I realised there was one on the right hand side too. So yea, looks like a weekend project, again.
