No worries, and by Shell servo above I do mean the KFC in case anyone is confused. Theres a small carpark in between the two. Inbound side of course.

So I guess the question is, as a spectator, what time should I come down...

Disappointed I can't get the rego transferred before the meet - I have an appointment at VicRoads for the Tuesday after. So my Audi is the one with the NSW Euro plates.

Andrew,

You can have the 2nd slot (was originally mine) and I will stay for most of the day anyhow.

All,

Confirmed with Springy Motors today that we are coming on Sat, 08 Oct, at 10am. I indicated about 18 cars for dyno and about 30 cars attending, so should be a good day.

I'm down for spot 18 so what time should I aim to be there by? I went to the WRX dyno day there recently and they were getting through roughly 4 cars/hour.

I am not going to set times cause sometimes things can go better than planned, and sometimes they don't even resemble the plan. I will be there for the whole day, but if we get to a point where there are no cars in the queue, they may decide to call it a day. Now, if it was me doing the planning for myself, and I am at the bottom of the list, for 18 cars, I would say around 4.5 hours, then add a risk factor of some no shows, say 3.5 hours, then a risk that they may be getting through 5 cars per hour, that comes down to about 3 hours. Probability......40%.

Or, you could just estimate the time it takes you to get there, give Spring Motors call at midday to check on progress and re-baseline your timing given the new info! Probability......80%

Jun,

I reckon about 5.5 hours given they will need a break for lunch. Starting at 10.00 am thru to 3.30 pm. Should be all over by 4pm at the latest.

Noticed a sign tonight saying city link road works on Saturday 8th. May cause a headache for some planning to use it coming from the north/west. Somthing to consider, didn't catch the times and locations tho.

I think that will be from 9pm onwards. They have been doing works every saturday night from 9pm for the past few weeks. Citylink has been clised to inbound traffic from toorak rd every sat nite from 9pm, so im assuming its for the same reason.

Hmm I think I'll just get there in time for lunch - can't miss out on snags! :)
Should still be plenty of action post lunch.
