Recommended Smash Repairer in SYD?

Postby edd13k » Tue Sep 27, 2011 3:12 pm

Hey Guys,

I did something stupid last night - scraped a concrete pilar against the left rear wheel arch/guard+part of my left rear door. Needless to say, I AM DEVASTATED.

I got a quote from a smash repairer near where I work and it is for $1300. As it is totally my fault, I've gotta bite the bullet and pay, but I just want/need to get it done right.

So, Are there any Recommended Smash Repairer in SYD?

P.S. It cannot be 'touched-up' as there are dents in the guard as well.
P.P.S Don't want to go through insurance.

Ouch, VERY lucky the damage hadn't been structural or bent the rims

I had someone back into me and didn't leave a note some time ago. I was in the same situation, I bit the bullet, had mine done at Blueprint Smash repair. I think they are aami & gio approved. Definitely approved by someone lol they have the big sign out the front but wasn't paying too much attention... I personally don't know the guys but am very happy with their work. They matched my white pearl perfect, they do it right, paint whole panels not just sections. Will be going back their if (hopefully never) something happens to one of my cars.

Shame about the incident. Lucky it didn't get the rim!

If you don't mind traveling from the Hills, I couldn't possibly recommend Regatta Auto Body Five Dock enough. They did faultless work on my Liberty and Outback. My Outback is going back in to have some more work done in the next fortnight or so. They're an authorised Subaru repairer (seen plenty of STi Libs at their workshop, amongst current model Audis/VW's etc) so they're a mob you can trust and will do top notch work.

Give them a call and speak to Brett or Darren. Tell them Shiv with the Outback sent ya. I'm sure they'll look after you.

JP Smash Repairs, 6/8 Anella Ave, Castle Hill, ph.9899 2360. I've used them in the past and was very impressed with their work.

Regardless of dents, companies like 1800-BUMPER in Sydney can still fix that for a fraction of the cost of panel replacement and respray, and best of all they come to you.

Get on their website and submit a photo or two for an online quote. They can also come out and give you a no-obligation on-site quote.

I have previously used them for pole scrapage and also had them fix a badly dented panel once from a lowlife who bumped into my car while it was parked and didn't leave a note. A1 work, extremely professional, and paint is mixed to the colour code on your compliance plate - no approximation, they mix the exact parts of each paint from the codes database for a perfect match. They can even do plastic repairs.
I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...
