Well I decided to go down to Margaret River on the weekend - averaged 6.8L/100km on the way down, then managed a brief spell at 6.6L/100km on the way back up. The read out went no higher than 7.2L/100km during relaxed driving through the vineyards.Filled up with BP Ultimate and still have about 150km on the distance-to-empty read out after nearly 700km of driving.

I'm getting around 10.4L/10km - 11.4L/100km depending on where and how I drive. Inner suburbs Melbourne generally.

Conservative driving style. Around town 8.6L-9.0L depending on how many lights/heavy traffic I get to and from work. On highway/open roads, I can get down to 7.6L. Tyre pressures set to 38psi with standard wheel/tyre combo.

Long term average over last 6,000km (~5,000 of which is mine, rest is previous owner) is currently at 9.4L. It was up at 10L when I got the car ~7 months ago.

My personal best consumption has been 758.4 kilometres on one tank of BP Ultimate on a 1,200 kilometre round trip from Sydney to Temora (60.5 litres on the next refill with a new estimated distance-to-empty reported as 860K's).

The car reported consumption of between 8.4 litres and 9.0 litres per 100 kilometres at 110kph and 100kph respectively. No air-con (vents on "fresh" mode), windows closed, a recent 10w40 oil change, a recent Subaru Fuel Additive addition, cruise control all the way. Tyres at 38psi all round. Ambient temperature ranged from 12 to 19 degrees from dawn to dusk on the day in question.

My average consumption in city travel is about 10-11 litres per 100 kilometres thanks to a bit of lead foot, with a personal best of about 9.6 litres per 100 kilometres in a passive week.

Aside from an XRT tune, the car has no mods.

Quick question for you all if anyone can help.

I recently had an Injector clean done and changed my air filter to a K&N high flow and have been getting 500km easily from normal driving around town. Also a couple of weeks ago mid tank I removed my resonator, noticed no real drop in km in the next half tank of driving.

Now my problem. I Filled up the car a week ago and have noticed I've been chewing through A LOT of fuel since (250km with about quarter tank left). My driving has not change drastically in the week since filling up.

I'm thinking maybe it is because of removing the resonator but surely it wouldn't make such a huge difference? Also used 95 not 98 octane, once again surely it wouldn't change the fuel Usage that much?

Anyone able to possible shed some light on my predicament?

Put the resonator back in and see if your consumption improves again.

I think I will after this full tank runs out, then fill with same fuel and do a mini experiment about the consumptions haha!

You're going the wrong way if that's 1200kms :D guessing theres some additional non highway driving in there too, which makes it an even better effort.

60.5l , you're a braver man than I. I put 57.5 in the other day and by that time there was a gap between the needle and the empty line and the trip computer had been reading zero for a while.
