G'day world!

G'day all!

My name's Nathan and I used to own a MY99 Subaru Impreza WRX up until last Wednesday night when I finalised the sale. Last Friday I switched over and bought a MY05 Subaru Liberty GT wagon. When I say I bought it on Friday I mean that my wife and I flew down to Sydney early Friday morning and drove it back in to Brisbane very early Saturday morning... We had a lot of time to get acquainted with the new car on the way home! :D

My wife already has a 1998 Subaru Liberty RX Bilstein Edition so this plus my old WRX means that I'm not completely in the dark when it comes to Subies but this is my first turbocharged Liberty. I've been on here for a little while but just as a silent observer/lurker/leech :P As a former WRX owner, I have been a member of Rexnet (Link87x) for a while but I signed up here when I started looking at buying a Liberty GT. I figure now that I own a Liberty myself it's time to say "hello". HELLO! I'm also a member of the GodSpeed Car Club (just in case you're wondering whether that sticker on the back is from me or the previous owner).

Anyway, back to the car itself: It's mostly stock at the moment. I had a pre-purchase inspection done which found the lower control arm bushes were split. These were replaced with a Whiteline Anti-Lift Kit (ALK). There are a few minor cosmetic things to fix (chips/scratches here and there and a minor hit to the front bumper bar) otherwise it's in pretty good condition :D

Future plans for the car:
-Oil change - especially after the long trip home
-I've got a few high-end Alpine In-Car Entertainment (ICE) items that I saved from my previous car - CDA-9887 head unit, 6.5" Type-X ref splits, 12" Type-X sub and suitable amps
-3" Turbo-Back Exhuast (TBE) - to get power right through the rev range
-Gauges - I like having info available! One of my favourite features of the new car so far has been the info display. Go figure!

Anyway, that's enough from me. That was a long time just to say "hello"... Sorry about that!

Welcome Seto. Beautiful looking car and excellent choice of colour.
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!
