Theyre both gear shift controls. No audio on the steering wheel in this model. :(

Have you seen this thread Mark?

http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.p ... l+controls

I think somewhere in that thread people have removed the shift controls for the audio controls on the automatics.

I'm in the middle of attempting this on my car - it's a manual though and I have a DAMD wheel. Have bought the audio control parts for the wheel (which fit and plug in fine) and at the moment just wrestling with the wiring etc. Will be installed on an Eclipse head unit. David has been helping me with all my questions. If it's successful I'll post up the results.

Thats weird about the shift buttons.

My old housemates MY05 3.0RB Auto had audio controls on the wheel, but no shifter buttons? Option thing?

Did you need to use a heat gun / hair dryer to apply the vinyl or did you just let it set as is?

You definitely need a heat source to mould it. My wife is a hairdresser so has some pretty hot hairdryers. ;)

I was going to pull the wrap off the handle surround as I wasnt sure on it. Stood back and looked at it for a few minutes and then realised what was missing...........

Fixed! Now I like it. :D

Was thinking of doing this too because I got a bit too aggressive with the screwdriver when removing the door trims! :?

Me too :( I used one of those chux cloths over the end of the blade of the screwdriver & still made a bit of a mess - hence why I bought these http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com.au/viewi ... 7541398255

I wonder what a full wrap of the centre console would look like

Why are you using screwdrivers to take the handle covers off?

The passenger side I could just twist off... the driver's side I needed a flat blade covered in a tea towel to undo the top clip but it left some marks I wasn't happy about. Didn't have the trim removal tools and just wanted to finish off the dynamat. No huge problem - the handle is overall a bit worn anyway. If it bothers me enough I'll consider the 3M stuff.

No tool is needed for the door handles. If they didnt just pull off, you werent trying hard enough. :P

They do require a bit of oomph. :D

Oomph alright.. I got the first clip out, couldn't manage to get it all of the way and just needed a bit of leverage, I have a slight mark from levering it out with chux cloths wrapped around a small jewellers flat head screwdriver. So miniscule that I don't even notice it and I know it's there.
