Did you also consider Eibach Pro's?

I've sensed that whilst the STi pinks are a good upgrade from stock, they are a little harsh and ultimately there's better choices out there for both handling

Hey though... the question is... say I got the Wheelpower billies and ditched the springs that come with them, how do the STi pinks compare to other choices out there? Yeah the STi pinks are probably fine if your car came with them (maybe some never have the need to consider anything else), but given the choice would you choose them over Eibach's or others? One issue is cost. If you buy them from Subaru Australia they probably cost a bomb.

I've been in a car with coilovers (not mine), Eibach's (not mine), S Techs and STI pinks. Coilovers are the best option without a doubt but are very expensive compared to just getting springs. STI pinks and Eibachs will work out to around the same cost if someone's quote on here is correct, cos I know PHAT can get the STI pinks for similar last time I asked. However, used STI pinks you can pick up from me for $300S Techs are around $400-450 last time I checked I think, so are the cheapest option out of the three.
Best thing is for you to see a car with the springs you want in person, so you can see how it sits and maybe sit in the car for a drive to see how it feels. Going from STI pinks, the S Techs are obviously firmer but the car is a lot more predictable and feels more grounded. I also love the ride height, it's perfect for what I wanted, so no real reason for me to go the coilover route yet!
