As the fibreglassing was completed a few days ago, I did the body filler at that time to fill any low points.
I then sanded this back today to get the right shape and contour of the lip.
Finshed off with some high fill spray putty just for good measure. I'll sand this back tomorrow and its all good for paint.

Gave the whole lip a light sand and then painted. Added a $10 ebay STi badge. Came up good. :D

Fitted up, its not the correct lip, but sits OK. Will do til the genuine one arrives.

Repaired area......

Well it's genuine, just broken genuine

I think that front lip really makes your car look good with the rims now Mark, I was a little sceptical beforehand but now it looks the goods.

Still dunno about the brembo colour though! May have to see it in the flesh some day for further inspection 8)

Not genuine, its an Ultrex one. ;)

Yeh, the car needed the black lip. Silver Brembo's work really well. ;)

You fixed up a non genuine lip while you were waiting for a genuine lip to arrive.....????
WHY??

Either way looks good. But Genuine will look better!

Because I can and I like to do this sort of stuff.

PLUS it cost nothing as I had all materials on hand. ;)

+ you can sell the Ultrex one when your genuine one arrives.

I also get a lot of satisfaction out of fixing stuff rather than spending money on buying new (even if it's not expensive to replace).

Hey Mark, for the general public (and myself), may I please ask you to share some insider/tradie tips for applying fibreglass?
I bought a fibreglass kit over the weekend, and I 'attempted' to practice using it. It resulted in a huge mess and little to none of the cloth actually sticking to the test panel.
Thanks mate.
