New LGT owner from US - Hello!

Postby NOSTIGT » Sun Aug 28, 2011 3:09 pm

Hi Everybody!

My name is Shaun and I live in New Hampshire, US. I've owned my '08 Legacy GT since new and have been modding it since day one. I'm learning a lot about AUS Libertys, JDM Legacies and trying to broaden my knowledge about the European models as well. I was told by some LGT.com members that this forum was a great place to learn and everyone was pretty cool. So far, I am very impressed!

I am in the process of completing my JDM rear bumper conversion (with the rear vents and CF Diffuser and Prodrive mufflers). I am also about half way through sourcing parts for a SPEC-B/STI JDM conversion. I am in love with the Liberty's headlights (the ones with the rectangle in the corners) and hope to learn whether or not those will work with JDM bumper (bar?) and JDM fenders.

I'd also like to serve as a point of contact for anyone looking for USDM parts... not quite sure why anybody would want USDM parts other than "LEGACY" badge but I'm here nonetheless.

I think Austrailia is beautiful! I can't wait to visit sometime next year and it would be nice to know some people to meet up with for an afternoon and talk "shop."

Anyways, thanks for being here! I hope to be a contributing member! Cheers!

Shaun

Thanks for the kind words everybody!!

Yes, I am very much a N.E. Patriots fan! I'm also a Boston Red Sox fan =)

I want to visit Adelaide and Sydney for my first trip and then Perth and Darwin for my second! My Father used to live in Perth back in 1992. I've been fascinated with Austrailia ever since!

The carbon fiber mirror scalps were made here in the US and are no longer in production. HOWEVER, I can sometimes come accross a set either mildly used or not used at all. If you are interested, PM me and I'll keep a lookout. They weren't that much money... $150 us or so. I'll make you a deal, you help me find post-facelift washer headlights and I'll help you find mirror scalps! Ha ha (i'm just kidding)... seriously though, let me know about the scalps.

Cheers!
