Squeaking near fan belt?

Hey guys,

I noticed this morning that something is squeaking near my fan belt, especially when the car is at a cold start, any one know what it could be? Or had a similar problem?

Gen4 doesn;t have a fan belt.....

Could be the belt squeaking itself
try grabbing a bar of soap and with the car running, get some on the ribbed side of your serpentine belt
see if the squeaking goes away or not

Been having a similar problem, I put some dry lube on the belt and it seems to be orite for a couple of weeks then comes back

Got the car serviced today, the belts at the front (a/c , pwr steering pump etc..)were old and cracked and needed to be replaced. After belt replacement , no more noise...you might be in the same situation

Put your finger on the underside of the belt (obviously while the car is not running ) and if you can feel any roughness/frayed on the edges of the belt, that may be causing the squeaking, and it will need replacing eventually.
