Track day prep by PHAT GT

Postby senator » Mon Aug 22, 2011 9:41 am

In preparation for this Friday’s track day had some bits supplied and fitted (all day Saturday) by Phat GT:

Cusco floor bracing (Driver/passenger) which spans from the front lower control arms, all the way back to the rear diff cradle.
Cusco transmission tunnel support.
Racing Ikeya rear chamber arms….assembly not required.
Racing Ikeya billet rear sub frame locks….. assembly not required.
Cusco Zero 2E coilovers with 5 step dampener adjustment, 10kg front and 11kg rear springs, these were custom valved by Cusco to ensure a smooth ride for both road and track conditions…….. IT F@#KEN WORKED!!!!!!!
Cusco E-con (Electrical dampener adjustment)….. so much bloody wiring
Dixcel type Z fronts
Buddy club 18x8 +48 with Advan 048 R spec (Thanks again Gambit and Greenman)!!!!!!! :air_kiss: :air_kiss:

Overall reaction, the car is now are go-kart but still more confortable then the stock suspension with the right dampener settings.

Of course cornering is now much more enjoyable, but the amazing transformation is the difference under braking, the car remains flat and composed no matter how hard your braking into, out of or still in a corner. I very surprised regarding the spring rating and difference felt between each step of the dampener settings.

Next thing to add before track day is are track spec wheel alignment and DRIVER TALENT   ……. Phat GT confirmed Cusco don’t make anything for the latter.

Photos to follow soon……

Tony,

You didn't need to go to all that trouble.

The manual wagon won't be there this year.
