Are you going to be adjusting the height much? Doubt it. Coilovers are nice for the wank factor, but for everyday driving? Pointless.

IMO, if you just want a nice, comfortable ride height, then decent struts and springs are the way to go. Its funny that some people commenting about coilovers in this thread dont actually have coilovers installed.

Billies and Tein S techs will be the perfect combo with IMO a perfect height. 1K for the lot new and you'll be happy.

Ahhh right, I have no experience of riding in or driving a car that has coilovers fitted - hence my extremely basic explanation of what coilovers can do

Just saying that for the OP's needs considering the background info supplied, Struts and springs will be more than sufficient.

I dont care what you have ridden in or driven as I dare say I would have too plus some.

On the topic of why get coilovers,
in the time I have my car it will probably only see a track a few times but I plan to get coilovers (at some point own the track when money permits) because I'm picky and I can better get the ride hight I lust after.

In my experience with struts and springs in previous cars I have not been entirely happy that I couldn't get the exact height I wanted.

I'm in the same boat, the lib is my very first car so I'm just getting into it (modding my ride), to me they (coilovers) sound like you can adjust the height and are useful for track days, I'm just an everyday p-plater who loves his n/a, no track days for me, I don't think I need coilovers

I saw a post from KiDo Racing saying they had coilovers for $1040.. Not entirely sure what the quality or build is like, can't remember where I found the post so don't know if they're still that cheap either

Sean we have alot in common, I want spec b rims, angel eyes, billies/phat's s-tech's, getting my lights done by Leo aka hks180 tomorrow night however I'm getting 5000k low beams/fogs and led parkers/number plate, do you have any reasons to why you are getting the billies/phat's s-techs in comparison to any coilovers on the market?

The billies can be purchased brand new for $500 from Claremont Wheel Power & PHATs s-techs have been customized by him to fit best with the Libs. I wasn't keen on spending money on coilovers because it's a 2.5i & not worth it, but then I came across the KiDo Racing coilovers for $1000 - equivalent to new billies & s-techs
