Japan Parts

Postby Jed3.0rb » Sun Aug 07, 2011 10:54 am

hey guys, I'm looking at getting some stuff from japan parts in a few weeks or so.
My dad travels a shitload for work (often to japan) and he suggested instead of having to pay shipping etc. that he and his work bud could bring me back the stuff :)
does japan parts have a warehouse to pick stuff up from in japan?? or anything like that?
otherwise I'd probs go through Phat to get all the stuff haha
cheers guys

speak to hks180 or moggy regarding good stores to buy stuff from in japan.

its kinda not right to ask phat since your not buying thru him but then again he might be able to help you out...

??

He is just asking if anyone knows if japan parts offers Local Pickup from within Japan. Not for alternative stores (although not a bad suggestion).

From what I understand in his post, he wasn't going to ask PHAT the info, he was stating that if Local Pickup in unavailable, he would probably end up purchasing through PHAT.

Whoops!

Well in that case you should email Japan parts and ask. I thought that was a bit too obvious though?

haha Michael wins for correct interpretation haha
yeah I have but they take a while to get back to you unfortunately, but hopefully they will soon
yeah if there isn't local pickup available i'd buy through Phat.
but i dunno about other stores cuz that would mean my dad would have to go through a lot more effort and his japanese isn't great haha
so i'd have to have it all ordered and ready to go (even though i probs would anyway)
and yeah i wouldn't bother Phat unless i was buying through him as i dont think it would be fair on him :)
cheers guys

Guys - dont bother trying to goto the google maps result for Corazon in Shibuya. Even though it links to the Corazon-World site, its actually a nail salon.

I went to Blitz (just a workshop, they had a gen v there but no real showroom per se), Prova (same), Jun (same) Toms and Spoon (both a little better, but not what I expected).

I was a bit disappointed really because I didn't know what shop I needed to go to buy new parts. I sorta expected there would be massive supermarkets or something.

Autobacs is like a super cheap auto (got some curtains for full VIP style), and Up!garage was a crap shoot for parts, you can search online to see what the store has in stock.

Someone put together this shared google map with all the tuners on it. If you're driving around you might find it useful: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=202 ... 810f&msa=0
