97 Liberty RX Gen 2 wagon suspension

Postby Maxi » Thu Aug 04, 2011 9:35 pm

Gday guys,
I'm after some info re my wagon, The mechanic last service said I need new Front lower control arm rear bushes as they where leaking oil.
Im happy to do the job myself but am new to the Subaru liberty. I will probably do the swaybar bushes at the same time. Is it a press fit bush on the LCA? Where is the best place to buy the bushes, price and part numbers?
Many Thanks :)

The old oil filled bushes are not a press fit, they are a bolt in job. If you don't want to cough up genuine prices try looking into Whiteline Products.

I seriously cant be bothered typing all the info.

Its an easy change, I've had 2 Gen2 wagons, one a JDM GT that was extensively modified. If you want answers, give me call on 0414324429.

Happy to help.

I've purchased Nothalane Front lower control arm rear bushes. I have pressed out the old oil filled bush and am going to fit the new ones. My question is it neccesary to apply grease to this particular bush in this application. I realize Lithium grease is used on poly bushes in some applications but for this particular one is it neccesary or even recommended :?:

If the bushes didnt come with grease from Whiteline, then you wont need to grease them.
