Postby Evan » Thu Jul 07, 2011 10:57 am

Hi everyone

New addition needed for MY11 GT Wagon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone installed a Roof Mounted DVD on a MY09 - MY11 GT Wagon

Wondering if one will fit with the sunroof. Plus the roof seems low in the back

My kids are lost without it

Good question. Not having kids it is not something that I have looked into. The fact I don't have my (ok, the mrs car) at the moment I can't make a call. From memory though the rear seats are fairly close to the front seats. But the back of the sunroof finishes sort of in line with the back of the front seats, right??? I don't see why one wouldn't fit in there with enough space so the fold down screen doesn't have to be on a huge angle. It would have to be a smallish screen though.

Have you looked into the screens you can either get integrated into either back of the front headrests, or aftermarket headrests with screens already installed. The other option is the screens that you just sling over the front seats???

This all makes sense to me, but I am on some pretty heavy painkillers at the moment.

Re-reading all this, my post is not terribly helpful haha. Sorry dude.

cheers mate

i do understand what your saying, i tried the integrated headrests first but was told by lifestyle that the headrest poles on my Liberty are too close together for any of their good quality systems to fit in nicely and dont want a cheap China Import

So thats why i thought about the roof mounted version. Just worried about it being to big as the roofline is very low inside the GT....

Not sure what to do !!!

I had a couple of quotes on dvd players
1/ Subaru $1100 headrests fitted
2/Albion Park sound $800 Fitted
3/ ebay,from UK $330 On your doorstep
Pop in headrests, pull stock ones out of car
comes with changeable poles to fit seats,2 individual headrest dvd players, 50 free games, 2 wireless remotes, 2 wireless gaming controls,2 wireless headphones
easy to install down the holes in the seat.

was going to go with option 3
just search ebay :D
