17's on 07 liberty gt with brembo's

Gone to get a wheel alignment an tyres rotated and found both rear rims are bent on the inside, on alot worse, need new tyres because of the bent rim.

Option 1 new rims and falken tyres are 2900.

Option 2 replace rear rims at 475 a rim, tyre shop won't refit tyres as they have been stretch on and will need to purchase 4 tyres taken bill to around 2600

Option 3 can get a wheel tyre package for same rims and tyres for 2500

Issue Darwin roads sent the best and wouldnt be a bad option to have more tyre profile size over looks! My mate r33 gtr with brembo's and runs 17's and suggested seeing if anyone had tried 17's on them! Run a lot better tyre for the same price as a 19

If it was me i would go for a new set of rims, for a couple of hundred extra. Bent rims might as well toss em. And the bonus is you get to pick a new style of rim for the car!!!!

yep, even at a grand for the wheels (which is what those are often going for on ebay these days) you can get a top set of 235/45 17 or 235/50 or 225/50 17 (what I run) for less than 2600 total. if you are game to lose street cred for a car that is better suited to the road and not turning up to the cafe/whatever and the back of a trailer that is.

There is a 17" version of the 12 spoke stock wheels your car came with that will clear too. I think the CS10 had them, the new Forester S also has them.

I bought a set of Lenso DC6 rims 18x8 and Kumho KU19 245/45x18's fitted and balanced and shipped from http://www.7daytyres.com.au/ in Sydney to Sunbury (near Melbourne) for $2100. I am pretty sure 17" would be less.

There were a few sets of STI rims burried a few pages down on rexnet that havent sold yet as far as im aware. Was looking at them the other day, but they were a good few pages in. Pretty cheap too, and from memory they had useable tyres on them as well. Between $500 and $750 IIRC.

They are a nice looking wheel, better in 18" tho.

The only thing i was wondering after looking at those was that the forester s doesnt have Brembos does it? so would these wheels actually suit the OP but being able to fit brembos under them?
