problem with red rings around gauges

Hey guys I have an 07 tbSTi wagon ive had for about 2 months now and i'm not sure if its happened recently or if its always been this way, but it seems that the red ring around the speedo wont light up all the way around it has a break in it at the bottom under the silly economy gauge. Its completely fine around the tacho gauge just not on the speedo. Can anyone tell me what its like behind that cluster? is there just one bulb that lights up each ring or possibly a few and one is blown? or maybe something has moved in there and is blocking the light? Any help would be great guys.

Yeah, I had the same concern as well when I first had the STi. But it turns out It's normal. That's just the shadow of the centre causing the break in the surrounding red ring.
