I assume that it has a flange on the turbo side and not a hose???

It is an 06 model cooler that has been modified by Sean at S&J to fit on 07/08 model

Dynos should be done in 4th gear for a 5 speed and 5th gear for a 6 speed..that will give a 1:1 ratio or as close to as possible.. and yes it does change the Power out put as much as 15kw @wheels..

We dynod a heap of cars on a Dyno day up on the coast.. did 2 runs in 4th and the 3rd run in 3rd gear on the 5 speeds.. we saw in some cases 20kw differnece down to around 10kw differnece.. we did this with the 6 speeds as well and same results

It is all about the way the car drives before and after, this made a huge difference to the drivability. Whether it was dyno'd in 3rd, 4th or 5th doesn't worry me in the slightest as it was never about achieving specific numbers but giving a good safe result on the road. I think this is shown by the smooth curve on the dyno graph, along with reasonably conservative AFR and boost pressure.

After a couple of disappointing dyno runs, I've come to realise it's not about the numbers for me anymore. Especially when different dynos give different results. Sure, you get bragging rights and street cred the higher your numbers. But it's all about drivability. :nyam:

Did the mod or tune make a positive difference? Does the car feel more 'lively' to you? Does it make you smile and grin because what you got what you wanted? Overall if it was a positve outcome compared to the 'before', then just be happy! :biggrin:

IMO it is all about the "Seat of the Pants Dyno" the dyno just assists in making sure you get it right from a tuning perspective!
