Running 225/40/18 on MY07 STi Rims?

Had Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's in 225/40/18 fitted on Tuesday. Just did a big trip on the weekend and put 1000km on these tyres and they are excellent in my opinion. They are quiet and felt very sure on wet country roads. Paid $325 a corner locally but you can get them on tire rack for $129. I didnt because i left my run a bit late and my old OEM bridgestone were absolutely stuffed and didnt really want to be driving all weekend on wet country roads with bald tyres but next time definately out of the US!! Highly recommended tyres!!

How much would it cost to have tyres fitted? If I bought them off tyrerack then took it to a wheel/tyre place to have them fitted how much would it set me back? I've only ever bought tyres from the people that have fitted them so wouldn't know!

Places vary wildly with this. Some places will strip, refit and balance for a corner for $10 each where other places will charge you $35 a corner.

I am around Castle Hill way and will ring around next week to grab some quotes. Will let yah know how it goes.

Rang around bout 6 local places.

Went with Bob Jane T-Mart at Castle Hill. Anthony gave me a good deal at $100: $15 per corner and $40 for an alignment. Took a bit over an hour.

Most places are charging $20-25 per corner with alignments up to $65, so not too bad at all.

That's pretty good. I got offered $1,300 for 4xP Zero Rossos including fitting, balance and alignment so that pretty much kept my business in Australia

FYI got the tyres yesterday and 225/40/18 looks great and the tyres are so comfortable!
