Mag Wheel Repair....

Postby WhiteGTB » Sun Oct 28, 2007 10:49 pm

My dear wife today drove the car and low and behold she hit a gutter....

ARGH!

Result is I now have a nasty gutter rash on my rim and need it repaired.

Has anyone had this repair done? Any recommendations?

Was the finish after the fix acceptable?

Guys,

I have a damaged rim that needs a bit of TLC. . . I'd be keen to hear of a place around Moorebank.

Ok, seems like there is abit of interest so I will grab some numbers and let you all know how much.

Possible we might even get some better pricing for a few wheels...

if you wan to get your wheels powdercoated, now would be a good time to do it. My stock rims had lots of gutter rashes when I bought the car, my panelbeater sandblasted and powdercoated the wheels for me and now they are as new :D

LOL!!! Unfortunately mate, she does.... LOL!!! so I have lots of toys :) :)

She did offer new wheels, but I said... nah...

By the way, I got quoted $200 to repair mine yesterday cause of the colour, something about how hard it is to get the colour matched up. I was like WTF?!?!

I think I will check out the other places also...

Keep you all posted.
